- Bulk Waste collection will occur on your normal day of service. Items must be properly prepared. LOOSE PILES WILL NOT BE COLLECTED.
- Larger items do not need to be bagged. Just set them at the curb.
- Smaller items must be in some kind of a container, such as a trash bag or a can (leave a note on the can if you do not want it taken as well). Do not place items in cardboard boxes as these become too weak when wet. NO LOOSE PILES will be collected.

- Tires, Appliances, Scrap Metal and Electronics will be collected separately and RECYCLED. Please separate these items from your other bulk waste and regular trash, and make sure they can be seen clearly from the street as the separate trucks may arrive earlier than the refuse trucks.
- Electronics includes only covered devices accepted for recycling by Centre County Recycling and Refuse Authority. Find a list of those items here: Electronics

YES - The following items will be collected: furniture, bedding, electronics, appliances, tires, bundled old lumber, homeowner-generated small project construction materials, carpeting, other oversized items too large to containerize. See Bulk Waste Guidelines for information on item preparation.

NO - The following items will NOT be collected: contractor-generated construction materials, leaves, grass, soil/dirt, concrete, bricks, stones, railroad ties, propane tanks, liquid paints and solvents, batteries, dead animals, unprepared glass panes, unbundled wood, piles of loose debris or construction materials, tires other than passenger car tires (racing, tractor, etc.), items too large or too heavy for two workers to lift, items not prepared as per the above guidelines. INFORMATION REGARDING BULK WASTE WEEK COLLECTION:
- Remember to place all items at the curb by 7:00 a.m.on your regular collection day.
- Covered electronic devices, appliances and tires are collected by separate trucks for recycling - please keep them separate from the main trash pile.
- Customers are limited to disposing of six (6) tires per bulk waste collection. Tires must be passenger sized tires only, and must be removed from rims. Tires from your property only.
- Customers are limited to disposing of one (1) of each type of household appliance per bulk waste collection. For example, a customer may dispose of one refrigerator, one water heater, and one stove all during the same bulk waste collection, but may not dispose of 2 or more of any of those appliances at once. Only one of each type of appliance will be collected.
- Items must be properly prepared - see Bulk Waste Guidelines. LOOSE PILES WILL NOT BE COLLECTED.
- Keep in mind that there are only 2 workers per collection vehicle during this special collection week! Items that cannot safely be lifted by 2 workers WILL NOT BE COLLECTED.
- Due to truck restrictions, no metal or wood items in excess of 4 feet in length can be accepted.
- For particularly large items, (i.e., pianos) customers should inquire with Advanced Disposal ahead of time to determine if the collection vehicles can accommodate the item.
- Residents should take care not to leave items they do not want to be discarded within 5 feet of the refuse pile. Some bulk items will be collected by a separate truck.

- This collection is NOT for State College Borough residents - Borough residents may refer questions about bulk waste pick-ups to the State College Public Works Department at (814) 234-7135.
- This collection is NOT for multi-family complexes using trash dumpsters - such residents should contact their private hauler (phone number should be listed on the trash dumpster).
